She graduated from Langley High School, McLean, VA. She graduated from Barnard College, with a bachelor's degree in English. Southern Methodist University Graduate with MA in acting. She was raised solely by her father. She was 5 when the parents split up. At the age of 5 she was aspired to be the jockey. However, her height and size prevented it.
