JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius, a boy born in Oklahoma was raised in Tulsa. He was moved to Virginia in the hope of adoption when his parents became in a position to take care. Adoptive parents raised him at Reston, Virginia. He was performing in musicals by the age of seven. After the end of Vine as an American short-form video hosting platform, in the year 2017, Sartorius lip-syncing videos posted through the site gained more than 8 million users in August of 2016. Social media was his way of finding an escape after he was targeted and eventually was a victim. He said that he wasn't the most social person prior to Musical.ly. It was like he didn't feel that anyone was watching besides the camera.
